Dondurma, the Turkish Ice Cream
When we were in Bukit Bintang, one of the city's shopping districts in KL where many tourists from various countries visited in, we saw A La Tuka outlets, the place where the Turkish ice cream called Dondurma is sold. This ice cream is not easy to melt because the material for making this ice cream is not the same as an ordinary ice cream. It is made from milk, sugar, an ointment made from orchid tubers mascula (a type of orchid tubers) and fragrant resins.
The price of this ice cream is Rm 5 for one cone. The seller is the man from Turky who cant speak Malay at all. I think he is able to speak English although it is not fluently.
While he serves the people who buys the ice cream, he keeps singing and dancing to attract many people. He scoops an ice cream to put on the cone by using a long spoon and then he bangs it to the cow bells which are hung so that the sound is lively.
Then it's time to give an ice cream as it is accidentally reversed it turned out to be spilled but it is not made from the material of an ordinary ice cream, so the ice cream do not spill because it is inherent in the cone.
